About The Role
Employee main responsibility will be to perform laboratory daily analysis to support production special processes: chemical process, coating analysis and incoming inspection; as lead technician the employee is responsible to perform all routine test and provide input and support for engineering projects and production problems resolution, will take ownership on production services and work towards continuous improvement of testing. This analysis will include but will not be limited to: solution analysis (manual and automatic titration), gravimetric analysis, spectrometry, metallography, etc., also will include chemical handling, solution preparation, laboratory equipment use and participation in preventive maintenance routines, as well as equipment failure resolution and suppliers contact.
- Employee will also be responsible of obtaining analysis results and compare them with industry standards, report analysis results in compliance with laboratory quality system requirements to ensure no erroneous results are delivered to customer, establishes contacts within department and customer base to ensure execution of standard/routine work, as well as lead testing procedures creation and maintenance, and audits related activities.
- Employee will support many different engineering testing and non-routinely testing and testing process improvement projects as part of the day to day, strong planning and follow up until implementation is required.
- Employee will act as lead in activities resulted of Honeywell operational system implementation as 5’s, continuous improvement, internal audits, among others.
- Laboratory technician degree, un-finished degree in Chemistry, metallurgical or materials engineering, chemical and or materials engineers.
- Proactive, results oriented even under pressure environment, customer focused, with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic English language skills – reading-write.
