What you'll do...

Ford Motor Company is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to join our Parts Distribution Center team in Houston, TX. In this vital onsite role, you will lead a skilled team, ensuring safety protocols are rigorously followed, inventory is accurately managed, and orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time. You'll be at the heart of our day-to-day operations, driving performance and fostering a positive work environment.

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be a pivotal leader, embodying Ford's commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and a people-first culture. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead an hourly unionized team responsible for Receiving, Packaging, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping. Deliver objectives related to Cost, Quality, Safety, Efficiency, Absenteeism.
  • Lead, coach, and direct a team of UAW-represented employees across various warehouse functions including
  • Receiving, Packaging, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team and operational performance.
  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of employee time worked and absences in accordance with company
  • policy and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Drive the achievement of critical operational objectives related to Cost, Quality, Safety, Efficiency, and Absenteeism
  • within established timelines.
  • Engage proactively with key stakeholders, including suppliers, LTL carriers, and DDS carriers to support objective
  • delivery.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring fair and consistent
  • administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Effectively manage personal behaviors and hold the hourly workforce accountable to established processes.

You'll have...

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in supervisory roles, manufacturing, military or other relevant experience. Internship and co-op experience will be considered
  • Ability to work rotating shifts / hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Even better, you may have...

  • Experience working in a UAW or other unionized environment.
  • Experience in warehouse, distribution, or production operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Military Leadership
  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodology and / or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) Experience

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
