Loss Prevention Officer (Security) - The Warehouse, Hawera (Part-time)

Hours of work

• Sun, Mon 8:00am-4.30pm 
• Tues 8:00am-2.30pm
• Wed 1:30-8:00pm

• We're seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers. 
• Key Responsibilities: 

• Monitor security cameras 
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor 
• Interact with customers and address their concerns
• Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.  
• Expiry Checks throughout our grocery department
• All other duties requested of you

He kōrero mōu ake - About you

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Some previous security experience is a requirement of this role. Ideally, you will have good communication skills, Computer skills and the ability to input data with ease and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.

Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
