About the Position
The Compliance and Ethics Specialist is responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis and providing strategic recommendations to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and enhance processes across the Company.

What You’ll Do
- Own and oversee recurring state and regulatory reporting, ensuring requirements and deadlines are accurately tracked and completed.
- Support state licensing and registration requirements across our healthcare staffing operations.
- Coordinate and support regulatory, compliance, and company audits, including preparation, documentation, follow-up, and corrective actions.
- Research and monitor federal and state laws and regulations, particularly those affecting HR, employment, and healthcare staffing.
- Analyze regulatory changes and determine what they mean for our business and operations.
- Turn complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical policies, procedures, recommendations, and guidance for internal stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and update company policies, procedures, handbooks, and other compliance-related documentation.
- Manage the lifecycle of policies and related documents within the Company’s policy management system.
- Monitor regulatory developments and alerts, identify what matters to our business, and communicate key findings to the Compliance & Ethics team.
- Prepare concise research summaries, memos, and recommendations that help leaders understand regulatory changes and their potential impact.
- Partner with business units and leadership to provide thoughtful compliance guidance and solutions.
- Collaborate with outside counsel when needed on regulatory, policy, or compliance matters.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes across the compliance function.
- Use AI tools and technology to enhance regulatory research, analysis, reporting, policy development, and workflow management.
- Help organize and continuously improve the Compliance & Ethics function.
- Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives and special projects.
What You’ll Bring
- 1+ year of HR experience, with a strong understanding of HR practices and employment law.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience or professional certifications may be considered.
- Experience with regulatory reporting and audits, including managing requirements, deadlines, and supporting documentation.
- Experience researching and interpreting federal and state laws, regulations, and employment requirements.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory information into clear, practical, and actionable recommendations.
- Strong research, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex compliance and regulatory topics clearly to different audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Management or supervisory experience.
- Experience using AI and automation tools to support research, analysis, reporting, policy development, or workflow improvement is preferred.
- Familiarity with ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Microsoft Power Automate, Asana, or similar platforms.
- SHRM or PHR certification (Preferred)
Salary : $90,000 annually

The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position may also be eligible to participate in a company incentive plan and/or commission plan.
