About The Role

The role of an Advanced Electronics Engineer HV encompasses designing electronics systems for high-voltage applications , ensuring their functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards. From reviewing and documenting to process optimization, this position plays a crucial role in driving innovation and efficiency within electronic engineering.

Your Role

  • Guide and facilitate all electronic circuits related development at Systems for HV Inlets, Electrical Centers, PCBs for Signal Integrity (SI) and EMC measurements and other products containing PCBs.
  • Create and maintain design and product documentation.
  • Prepare offers and cost calculations, optimize processes, and provide production assistance.
  • Conduct LLR (Logical Library Representation) and LDR (Layout Design Rule)
  • Provide training and assistance to cross-functional teams, including software, systems, electrical, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing.
  • Perform simulations, worst-case circuit tolerance assessments, FMEAs, fault tree evaluations, and similar design disciplines.
  • Work directly with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to design products that meet customer functional, EMC, and electrical requirements.
  • Work in alignment with Automotive Functional Safety Requirements and the ISO 26262 specification.
  • Support of layout recommendations for device connectors at series PCBs
  • Creation of design guidelines concerning optimized RF PCB design
  • Support of test PCB purchase process (creation of technical datasheets, communication to PCB makers etc.)
  • Coordinate with the validation team to assist in developing proper validation scope and equipment.
  • Conduct bench-level debugging, testing, and prototyping.
  • Timely completion of assigned tasks following the quality system adopted in Aptiv.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Previous experience with electronic circuits design.
  • Experience with RF design of PCBs
  • Knowledge of SI/EMC fundamentals (impedance, return loss, insertion loss, cross-talk, shielding efficiency etc.) and impact of PCB design features on SI/EMC performance
  • Background on pin in paste, SMT and press-fit technologies
  • 3+ years of relevant electronics design experience.
  • Proficiency in using schematic design and PCB layout tools.
  • Preferred: Additional experience with PCB calculation & simulation tools (e.g. Polar Speedstack, Mentor Xpedition impedance calculator, HyperLynx)
  • Ability to utilize measurement equipment, including scopes and testing equipment.
