The S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center has one of the country's most respected Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging programs offering the full range of nuclear and molecular imaging studies.

Summary of Essential Duties

Assists in the performance of cardiac stress testing, including EKG monitoring for stress, performing preliminary interpretation to both rest and stress electrocardiograms, and performing quality control of all data associated with stress testing and submission of results for final interpretation.
Performs treadmill, bicycle, and pharmacological stress testing including EKG preparation and obtaining accurate blood pressures.
Demonstrates ability to recognize serious arrhythmias and ST segment abnormalities and responds with appropriate action.
Assists the Technologist, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Physician during cardiac stress testing.
Identifies safety concerns in the age-related population, and institutes measures to provide a safe environment.
Serves as a preceptor for students and new hires.

Education

Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science required

License/Certifications

BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred or willing to obtain within one year from start date
