About This Role

We are recruiting a Graduate Trainee to join our Marine team in Dubai. In this role, you will be supporting senior brokers in cargo placements for high-value, complex, and time-critical equipment across energy, infrastructure, construction, and industrial projects. This fast-paced role is designed to build strong technical foundations while giving you hands-on exposure to real placements, stakeholder management, and live project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn core marine cargo and project cargo concepts, including coverage, exclusions, clauses, shipment methods, risk factors, and documentation requirements.
  • Develop an understanding of how insurance supports complex logistics, including cross-border shipments and phased project deliveries.
  • Draft and issue endorsements accurately and promptly, ensuring terms align with agreed coverage and placement structure.
  • Support the preparation of market-facing and client-facing documentation, including summaries, confirmations, wording references, and supporting notes.
  • Maintain clean records in internal systems and shared trackers to ensure a strong audit trail and smooth handovers.
  • Track the status of multiple project cargo shipments and insurance actions simultaneously, including endorsements pending, premium status, shipment milestones, and outstanding information.
  • Support the team by following up on premiums, reconciling what is due versus what is received, and escalating issues promptly.
  • Help ensure timely invoicing and collection processes by liaising with internal finance and operations stakeholders.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for routine queries and progress updates, always with a professional and service-oriented approach.

What We're Looking For

  • A recent graduate or early-career professional with a strong interest in marine cargo, or insurance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, or any related field and/or industry experience in insurance, banking, shipping, logistics or surveying.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation, tracking, and record keeping.
  • Good numerical skills and confidence working with data and commercial information.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow established procedures

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with industry terminology and processes.
  • Internship experience.
