About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate brings deep Finance domain expertise, strong Power BI and semantic modeling skills, and a forward-looking AI mindset, actively adopting tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and AI agents to drive day-to-day efficiency. Familiarity with Oracle EPM or similar financial planning tools is a plus.
This is a hybrid position. An expectation of 50% in-office time is required. Additional details will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Essential Functions
1.Reporting and Dashboards Development
- Design and build AI-enabled certified executive-level and self-service dashboards for the Finance platform, with prompt-based insights generation capabilities
- Own the full dashboard/report development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data modeling, design, development, UAT, deployment, and maintenance.
- Translate complex Finance processes into analytical models and reporting frameworks that scale across the organization.
- Understand data structures and cardinality and design effective data models for reporting in Tableau (using joins, relationships, and blending) and Power BI.
2.Data Transformation and Modeling
- Design and maintain scalable semantic data models and certified metric frameworks on FDP in collaboration with Data Engineering teams.
- Write complex, highly optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and manipulate data from enterprise data warehouse environments.
- Partner with Data Strategy & Governance (DSG) and Corporate IT on cross-functional data model design reviews, UAT, and deployment planning.
- Develop and execute test plans and UAT protocols to ensure solutions meet business requirements and data quality standards before release.
3.AI Solutions Development and Adoption
- Design, build, and deploy AI-powered analytics solutions using LLMs, AI agents, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and similar tools to enhance Finance decision support and insight generation.
- Identify and implement AI-driven automation opportunities across Finance reporting workflows, replacing manual and offline processes with intelligent, automated alternatives.
- Champion and drive the adoption of AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, Claude, AI agents, and emerging platforms) within the Finance BI team to improve day-to-day efficiency across research, documentation, code optimization, data analysis, anomaly detection, and narrative generation.
- Build automated, AI-enhanced workflows using Power Automate integrated with AI capabilities to eliminate repetitive manual tasks.
- Prototype and evaluate AI use cases for Finance analytics, including natural language data querying, AI-assisted report generation, predictive insights, and intelligent alerting.
- Stay current on emerging AI capabilities and proactively identify new opportunities to drive efficiency and innovation across the Finance function.
4.Data Quality
- Conduct data mapping, validation, and reconciliation across large, complex datasets, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies across source systems.
- Document data lineage for all reports to ensure auditability and stakeholder confidence in reported results.
- Critically evaluate existing reporting architecture for gaps, inefficiencies, and misaligned logic, and propose and implement targeted improvements.
5.Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as the primary Finance BI liaison to Data Strategy & Governance (DSG) and Corporate IT for the design, development, and rollout of the Finance semantic layer, translating Finance reporting requirements into platform capabilities while ensuring the semantic layer meets Finance quality and governance standards.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, validate solutions, and drive adoption of new BI and AI capabilities.
- Present findings, reporting solutions, and AI-driven recommendations clearly to both technical teams and senior Finance leaders.
- Collaborate across teams to accelerate decision-making on reporting standards, certified definitions, and ownership accountability.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of work experience with an advanced degree (Master's, MBA, JD, or MD).
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or financial reporting, with demonstrated progression in scope and responsibility.
- Proven experience building and maintaining enterprise dashboards using Power BI, with strong expertise in DAX, semantic modeling, and governance best practices.
- Understanding on full-stack dashboard development
- Solid understanding of Finance management reporting cycles, including Month-End Close, QBR, Budget, Outlook, and CFO Close reporting.
- Working knowledge of Finance domains, including P&L, balance sheet, cost center reporting, certified P&L reporting, and FP&A processes.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for complex data transformations, querying, validation and automation
- Sollid understanding of dimensional data modeling (star schema, fact tables, and dimension tables) for scalable BI solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with data governance, including defining certified metrics, enforcing reporting standards, and maintaining aligned hierarchies.
- Experience co-developing or implementing enterprise data platforms in collaboration with IT and governance teams.
- Experience designing and deploying Power Automate or similar workflow automation solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to adopt and apply AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar LLM-based tools) to accelerate analytical and reporting workflows.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed organization and thrive in fast-paced, greenfield environments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data concepts clearly to both technical teams and CFO-level Finance leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within Finance functions, banking, payments, or large enterprise organizations.
- Hands-on experience building full-stack dashboards
- Familiarity with Oracle EPM, Hyperion, or similar financial planning and consolidation platforms. An understanding of EPM data structures is beneficial for Finance reporting.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), or Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in AI/ML applications, automation, and data transformation.
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered solutions, including LLM integration, AI agents, Copilot extensibility, or GenAI applications for Finance analytics.
