About The Role
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Safety, Health & Environment Create a safety culture through productive and authorized operational systems/processes that allow all employees (including contracting partners) to provide their outputs in a risk-controlled environment Performance and Delivery Assist Commercial Manager in breakdown of financial targets down to site work areas. Provide operational support to the budgeting process on site, collating budget inputs and supplying analyses on behalf of CM and Commercial Finance Specialists. Support business case modelling for on-site SIB capital. Collect financial forecasts by the disciplines. Draft effective financial reports (supported by Deloitte) & analyses, in line with AA standards. Monitor site financial performance, highlighting deviations to CM & Com. Finance Specialists. Track execution of capital projects on site and monitor CapEx spend against budget. Support post investment reviews by CM. Supply required information/input data to Deloitte / fin. CoE. Validate received output from Deloitte (e.g., standard reports) before further processing. Supply data analyses & insights for Com. Finance Specialist discussions with disciplines. Prepare business cases and sensitivity analyses for improvement opportunities. Support quantification of financial impact of improvement measures. Support implementation of Commercial improvement initiatives (e.g., dashboard roll-out). Feedback improvement needs and ideas to CM People & Teams Create a purpose-led, high-performing culture within the discipline that is aligned with the company values, is inclusive and promotes diversity on Act as a role model and actively engage as a team member in all team processes. Compliance Ensure discipline with external (legislative, regulatory, permitting) requirements, Valterra Platinum standards, and CA&SI governance This role is at a GBF7 level reporting to the Commercial Advisor
Tertiary qualification within Business Accounting, Finance, Economics Postgraduate within Business Accounting, Finance, Economics (advantageous) Experience At least 2 years of experience in the accounting field Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of operational processes within scope of role Monitoring of benchmarks and identification of performance gaps Data collection and management Application of management accounting processes Data collection, analysis, and management for decision-making
