Android Engineer

**Responsibilities**

We seek an Android Engineer to fulfill the following key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust Android applications using Kotlin, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and architectural standards
• Design and implement user interfaces utilizing Jetpack Compose or XML-based frameworks, prioritizing performance and user experience excellence
• Integrate RESTful APIs using Retrofit, managing data flow and ensuring seamless backend communication
• Implement asynchronous programming patterns using Kotlin Coroutines and Flow to optimize application responsiveness
• Manage local data persistence through Room database implementation, ensuring data integrity and efficient storage
• Maintain code quality and version control discipline through Git, contributing to collaborative development workflows
• Participate actively within cross-functional mobile development teams, demonstrating the ability to rapidly acquire proficiency in a fast-paced delivery environment
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliverables
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and standards

• **Required Qualifications**

• Android development (Kotlin)
• Jetpack Compose or XML-based UI frameworks
• REST API integration (Retrofit)
• Kotlin Coroutines and Flow
• Room database for local data persistence
• Git version control

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) development experience, particularly for hardware integration
• Firebase Cloud Messaging implementation for push notification systems
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tooling proficiency (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms)

• Working hours will be based on Eastern Time
