Job Summary

Support the accurate receipt, inspection, and processing of clinical specimens and related shipments. Help maintain safe, organized, and compliant laboratory operations while following company procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assist with the receipt of consignments, clinical specimens, and shipments
  • Open shipments and perform quality checks of patient information forms
  • Escalate missing or incorrect information and damaged shipments to senior-level staff
  • Conduct secondary checks of shipping materials to ensure specimens are not left in kit packaging
  • Dispose of or recycle kit shipping supplies correctly
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, supply inventory, workstation cleanup, and administrative duties
  • Support after-hours alarms and other job-critical functions as required
  • Follow safety procedures, company processes, and applicable regulatory guidelines

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • The internal job description does not specify a minimum number of years of relevant experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience or familiarity with receiving shipments and conducting quality checks of patient information forms
  • Ability to follow specimen-handling, shipment-disposal, safety, and regulatory procedures
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role

  • Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing patient information and inspecting shipping materials
  • Ability to organize work areas and complete routine administrative duties
  • Commitment to continuing education through self-study and meeting attendance

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $25,300.00 - $52,700.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
