ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on finance working student position embedded within a lean, high-growth EdTech company. You'll work directly alongside the Director of Finance & People, supporting core financial operations while helping build AI-enhanced workflows and intelligent dashboards that strengthen the company's financial infrastructure.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Support day-to-day finance operations and keep cross-functional topics moving alongside senior leadership.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and coordinate with external auditors.
Help ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
Prepare monthly reports, maintain trackers, and carry out ad hoc data pulls and analyses for operational controlling.
Identify and pilot opportunities to automate manual finance workflows using AI tools, low-code platforms, and smart integrations.
Support coordination with tax advisors, auditors, and legal providers.
Act as a bridge between the Finance & People team and functions such as Growth and Engineering.
Contribute to building intelligent dashboards and KPI trackers as part of a broader digital finance backbone.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Available for approximately 20 hours per week with a preferred commitment of 6–12 months.
Strong analytical skills and solid Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables); comfortable turning messy data into clear answers.
Fluent in German and English, written and spoken — German fluency is required.
Comfortable using AI tools daily and enthusiastic about automating workflows; familiarity with low-code platforms is a plus.
Basic understanding of German accounting practices is a plus; curiosity about IFRS is welcome.
Prior experience in finance, consulting, or a startup environment is a plus but not required.
Proactive, self-driven, and pragmatic — you have a builder mentality and thrive working directly with leadership.
Must be eligible to work in Germany without visa sponsorship.
