About The Role

The Pricing Specialist focuses on pricing and drives improvement in gross margins by providing visibility to all components of the value chain.

Drives profitable growth, gross margin targets as a percentage of sales and gross margin percentage expansion.
Understands and leads pricing practices to ensure price for value and gross margin expansion.
Ensures products and customers’ sales records are analyzed and performance is evaluated against targets. Monitors product gross margins and profitability against control standards. Reviews product prices, approves price deviations, discontinues unprofitable products, and implements price increases and price hold strategies.
Support commercial team to optimize cost by collaborating with sourcing, technology, product management team and other functions.
Responsible for gross margin for specific product platforms such as black and white products or others assigned by supervisors.
Supports and is committed to Avient's LSS improvement process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties.
Collaborate with various internal departments to optimize Pricing function.
Implementation of the strategic marketing direction for the product pricing platforms, such as target selling price for new product launches and other focus additives products.
Generate pricing reports and provide insights to commercial team based on profitability data.
Other duties/projects as assigned.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in SAP system operation.
Fluent oral and written English is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or above.
Minimum 1 year working experience in marketing, customer service, or other relevant functional roles.
