Trailer Apprentice 2 (Evening Shift)

About The Role
As the Trailer Apprentice 2 you will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Trailer Technicians, and the other Tractor Technicians to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action. This position will work outside of the shop running our Mobile Repair Unit.
Qualifications
- A minimum of Level 2 Heavy Equipment Technician
- You will be a registered Apprentice with the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board
- Passed the Apprenticeship entry exam
- The desire to obtain your Journeyman's certificate will be key to your success in this position
- Experience working on trailers as a heavy duty technician would be an asset
- Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities
- Ability to provide superior customer service to our Drivers
- Willingness to work outside in all temperatures
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers’ License .
- May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less.
