POSITION SUMMARY
Steamboat Hospitality, formerly known as Resort Group, is growing! We are looking for a Maintenance Tech II to help maintain their pristine properties located in beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO. This position allows you to take full advantage of all that Steamboat offers with a later starting time for your shift. This allows for first tracks on the mountain in the winter and great hiking and biking during the summer. You will work at unique properties across the valley, maintaining both the grounds and buildings. If you enjoy having flexible free time during the day, love working with your hands and are motivated to work primarily independently, this position is for you. Hiring the right candidate for either a full time or part time position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintains the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of resort buildings, rental units, common areas, grounds, and HOA properties.
- Performs daily upkeep of interior and exterior common areas, including snow and ice removal, basic landscaping, sweeping, and trash/recycling removal.
- Cleans and maintains lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other guest and work areas.
- Transports trash, waste, and recycling to designated disposal areas.
- Delivers and retrieves guest-requested items, including fans, air mattresses, linens, and towels.
- Performs minor repairs and routine maintenance in rental units, including replacing light bulbs, smoke detectors, CO monitors, and batteries.
- Performs basic and advanced maintenance repairs involving electrical, plumbing, audio/visual systems, pools and spas, painting, drywall, and other building systems.
- Obtains and maintains CPO certification as required.
- Uses power tools and other equipment after completing required safety training.
- Responds to assigned work orders and ensures work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to established quality standards.
- Communicates potential maintenance, safety, or guest/owner concerns to supervisors and Front Desk staff.
- Assists other departments as needed, including moving furniture, unloading and storing supplies, and transporting equipment or tools.
- Maintains accurate timesheets and production records for payroll and billing purposes.
- Adjusts work priorities and procedures to meet production schedules while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks safely and effectively.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and use sound judgment when completing routine tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, guests, and other departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple work orders and tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to work outdoors and in changing weather conditions, including snow and cold temperatures.
- Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools after completing required training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including CPO certification if applicable to assigned duties.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality, and guest service.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as business needs require.
- Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
- Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Resort hourly pay range: $24.00- $27.50 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a minimum 18 years of age
- Regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance while performing job duties.
- Frequently use hands and fingers to handle tools, equipment, supplies, and cleaning materials.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work for extended periods outdoors and in varying weather conditions, including snow, cold, heat, and precipitation.
- Ability to safely work around moving mechanical equipment and occasionally work at heights or in areas where there is a risk of electrical shock.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including cleaning, shoveling, sweeping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus for cleaning, maintenance, inspection, and repair tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, guests, and other departments.
