Responsibilities for Supplier Quality Engineer

  • Contributues to and participated in supplier scorecards and supplier quarterly reviews.
  • Supports the Material Review Board (MRB) process to ensure the timely disposition of nonconforming material.
  • Performs supplier audits and inspections supporting the supplier selection process and raw material IQC/OQC process.
  • Works cross-functionally, including manufacturing, to address material quality issues.
  • Drives Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process from creation to closure.
  • Drives Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) with supplier portfolio.
  • Creates and maintains Supplier Quality KPIs (i.e. IQC/OQC, CIP, SCAR, etc.)
  • Provide technical support to Operations, Receiving Inspection, Manufacturing, Program Management through trend data, root cause assessment, and defining potential corrective actions.
  • Identifies potential risks impacting the success of BLOX objectives, goals, and KPIs.

Qualifications for Supplier Quality Engineer

  • Minimum of (2) years of applicable experience.
  • Have a four-year bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with suppliers and cross-functional peers on a technical level.
  • Problem solving and quality improvement skills, including necessary tool and process types.
  • Corrective and preventive action skills, including necessary tools and process types.
