An exciting opportunity has arisen for an I nvestment Selection Lead to work with our team in Dublin.

Role Summary

Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland seeks an Investment Selection Lead to support its Wealth Management clients in Ireland. The successful candidate will play a central role within the CFIL CIO team, leading due diligence, selection, and ongoing monitoring of active and passive investment strategies across all asset classes. The objective is to deliver strong risk-adjusted performance for clients through rigorous manager due diligence, market analysis, and investment monitoring.

This role is a CF-3 designation under the Central Bank’s Fitness & Probity standards.

Under The Central Bank of Ireland’s (CBI) Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) established under The Central Bank (Individual Accountability Framework) Act 2023 (IAF Act), as a Control Function holder, you have a Duty of Responsibility under the CBI Common Conduct Standards.

These standards include

  • acting with honesty and integrity,

  • co-operating in good faith and without delay with the Central Bank of Ireland
  • acting in the best interest of customers and treating them fairly and professionally
  • operating in compliance with standards of market conduct and trading venue rules
  • Lead the identification and selection of active and passive investment strategies across all asset classes for inclusion in the firm's preferred securities list.
  • Take ownership of the monitoring and review of approved funds, including performance analysis, risk assessment, operational due diligence, and ESG considerations.
  • Partner with the portfolio management team in the ongoing monitoring of existing fund positions whilst actively presenting tactical or strategic adjustments to aid performance.
  • Enhance the robustness of the investment selection framework and monitoring process through the implementation of quantitative and qualitative techniques.
  • Present compelling investment recommendations, and market insights to relevant stakeholders, while supporting the production of quarterly investment reports, research publications, and responses to client and adviser investment-related queries.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with investment managers, fund providers, research partners, and other key industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor market developments, emerging trends, and new investment opportunities, assessing their relevance to the firm's investment proposition and client portfolios.
  • 4+ years experience in the investment funds space as an Allocator or Research professional.
  • A graduate qualification in a finance or quantitative discipline with CFA/CIPM preferred.
  • A passion for markets and track record of making successful investment recommendations.
  • Demonstratable experience of a process-driven approach in security selection.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; both oral and written.
  • A confident and affable team player who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Morningstar and Bloomberg is an advantage.
