Housekeeping Supervisor

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments? As a Housekeeping Supervisor at Chartwell, you’ll lead a team that ensures our residence is a place residents are proud to call home. You’ll oversee cleaning schedules, supplies, and team performance while delivering excellent service to residents, families, and visitors.

What You’ll Do

Supervise, schedule, and train housekeeping staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service
Oversee cleaning routines for resident suites and shared areas
Monitor supplies and source quality products while staying within budget
Respond to resident and family concerns, escalating as appropriate
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and confidentiality standards
Participate in the Resident Council and support team collaboration
Provide regular feedback to the General Manager on service quality and resident satisfaction

What You’ll Bring

Secondary school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required
Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, including hiring, training, and scheduling
Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to lead by example
Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
Computer literacy and comfort with basic operational systems
WHMIS, First Aid & CPR, and Occupational Health & Safety certification are assets
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team

Additional Requirements

Must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings
Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting/carrying items
Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations
Comfortable using AI and other digital platform systems and tools to support daily work
Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
