About The Role

Our organization is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead quality initiatives and drive software excellence across our platforms. This is a senior-level position designed for an established engineer who will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to evaluate system architecture, technical specs, and code—ensuring solutions exceed functional and non-functional requirements. Beyond executing test strategies and tracking complex defects through resolution, you will be expected to champion the end-user perspective, analyze technical designs, and mentor QA standards across the delivery pipeline. Ideal candidates bring a creative, strategic approach to solving complex technical challenges, balancing high quality standards with business objectives and delivery timelines. Advanced expertise with modern QA tooling, test automation best practices, testing methodologies, and agile delivery is required, and a strong familiarity with cloud technologies is key to success in this role.

The Impact

As a Senior QA Engineer you will cooperate with members of both, Product and Development Teams to help them make informed decisions on releases of one of the best tools there is for car dealerships in the United States.

A successful Senior QA Engineer will

  • Participate in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
  • Lead the release planning process to review functional specifications and create release plans.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to design and execute end-to-end verification test plans for complex deployments.
  • Own and oversee comprehensive regression test suites across large-scale data pipelines and enterprise applications, conducting thorough reviews with engineering, architecture, and field operations.
  • Produce regular reports on the status and quality of software releases and be prepared to speak to findings in an informative way to all levels of audience.
  • Assess the quality, usability, and functionality of each release.
  • Establish, standardize, and govern QA frameworks and methodologies across projects to align with organizational quality goals and technical standards.
  • Lead and train a dynamically changing team of colleagues who participate in testing processes.
  • Exhibit deep technical expertise in handling large scale programs/projects that involve multiple stakeholders (Product, Dev, DevOps).
  • Maintain a leading edge understanding of QA automation, data validation techniques, and modern cloud technologies to keep testing strategies industry-leading.
  • Design and implement test automation strategy for multiple product development teams at the onset of the project.
  • Lead efforts for related automation projects, design, and code reviews.
  • Work closely with leadership and QA members across cross-functional engineering scrum teams to provide input into the design and implementation of the automation framework.
  • Work with Architecture, Engineering, Quality Engineering, IT, and Product Operations leaders to create and implement processes that accelerate the delivery of new features and products with high quality and at scale.
  • Develop and contribute to a culture of high performance, transparency, and continuous improvement as it relates to the infrastructure services and streamlining of the development pipeline.
  • Participate in a diverse team of talented engineers globally, providing guidance, support, and clear priorities.

Who you are

  • Minimum of 7 years of Quality Engineering experience (required)
  • Proficient across multiple industry-leading test automation frameworks including, but not limited to, front-end UI testing and backend/API validation.
  • Proficient in RESTful API design principles and best practices, with demonstrated capability in implementing automated API tests within python-based frameworks alongside manual API validation.
  • Proficient in designing and executing performance, stress, and throughput testing strategies using modern load testing tools to analyze system latency, endpoint performance, and data processing bottlenecks.
  • Strong experience working with relational and non-relational database architectures, including modern cloud analytical data warehouses , and high-throughput column-oriented engines.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern cloud technologies (preferably Google Cloud Platform)—including real-time messaging streams, large-scale data storage, batch and streaming data integration pipelines, distributed data processing, and workflow orchestration.
  • Experience with data profiling, data cataloging, and automated data quality controls is a strong plus.
  • Proficient in modern programming and scripting languages, with practical experience in utilizing modern AI tools to drive faster, high-efficiency test execution.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira, or another similar issue/bug tracking systems
  • Experience working in an Agile software development organization, with a deep understanding of Scrum-based methodologies and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems (required).
  • Ability to think abstract – to ensure ability not to conform to the norm. Norms do not find bugs quickly.
  • Ability to work in an advisory capacity to identify key technical and business problems, develop and evaluate.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only)

  • Mobility Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $109,943 to $138,242. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
  • In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Generally, work is performed Monday through Friday, though holidays and weekends may be required.
