Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Program Manager Physician Relations & Business Development is responsible for developing a deep and sustainable relationship between the Hoag Enterprise and physicians in the community. Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Surgery (GI/GI Surgery) - The Program Manager supports outreach and business development efforts related to Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Surgery services, including engagement with gastroenterologists, GI surgeons, colorectal surgeons, hepatologists, and primary care/referring physicians. Serves as a liaison to support physician access to referral pathways, endoscopic procedures, GI surgical consults, and multidisciplinary tumor boards. Coordinates physician-to-physician outreach, CME/education events, and referral-source engagement, targeting community physicians both in and out of the Hoag service area. Initiates and facilitates new carve-out contracts with various medical groups along with increasing utilization of existing contracts. Tracks physician engagement and referral pattern data to identify growth opportunities and gaps in network coverage.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care and/or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of seven (7) years health care experience, including relevant work experience in business development and medical group management
Minimum of three (3) years sales management experience
Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Healthcare Experience preferred
