Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our Survey team in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Our team provides a full range of survey services including boundary surveying, preparation of legal descriptions for easements and parcel boundaries, topographic mapping, construction layout, control surveys, route surveys, as-built surveys.

Your Key Responsibilities

Uses knowledge of relevant areas of surveying.
Prepares CAD drawings, reviewing, and processing the results of field surveys, and verifying the accuracy of field survey data.
Communicates effectively with members of the team and follows standard procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Proficiency in MicroStation V8i/ORD to NCDOT Location and Survey Standards.
Proficiency of NCDOT Location & Survey Standards.
Working Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Software, TDS and Carlson data collection software are preferred.
Proficiency in operating conventional, robotic total stations and GPS surveys to NCDOT Location and Survey Standards are preferred.
Working knowledge of field to finish production of ALTA Surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking for civil engineering projects is a plus.

Education and Experience

Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in AutoCAD, Surveying, Geomatics or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience Is preferred.
Good driving record and valid Driver’s License.
3+ years of Land Surveying and CAD technician experience.
Position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
