About The Role
The role is responsible for supporting the design, planning, and execution of facility-related projects, with a focus on boiler systems, steam utilities, and energy infrastructure. The role ensures effective maintenance of boilers, auxiliary equipment, machinery, buildings, and facility assets, supporting safe, efficient, and compliant operations. The position assists in planning, budgeting, and scheduling facility and boiler-related modifications, including estimating equipment, labor, materials, and operational costs. The role supports coordination of facility space allocation, utility layout, communication services, and expansion activities, ensuring optimal steam distribution and system reliability. The position contributes to health and safety standards implementation, regulatory compliance, preventive maintenance execution, and continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening facility reliability, energy efficiency, audit readiness, and sustainable utility operations.
Essential Functions
- Operate and monitor boiler operation and maintenance activities
- Manage steam distribution, pressure control, and system performance
- Perform troubleshooting & repair for boiler and utility equipment
- Support preventive & predictive maintenance and shutdown activities
- Assist in maintenance planning & execution for steam and utilities systems
- Monitor and improve combustion efficiency and fuel consumption
- Support heat recovery systems and energy optimization initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and safety and fire protection systems
- Maintain technical documentation, logs, and statutory compliance records
- Assist in vendor management & procurement and contractor supervision
- Support utilities management, including water and steam systems
- Contribute to quality & audit readiness and regulatory inspections
Additional Responsibilities
- Comply with all applicable EHS policies, safety procedures, SOPs, and statutory requirements.
- Follow safe work practices and use the prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Immediately report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, near misses, incidents, and injuries.
- Participate in mandatory safety training and emergency drills, and contribute to maintaining a safe and incident-free workplace
Education
- Undergraduate ITI - Required
- Diploma ME - Preferred
Experience
- 5 year or more in 5-10 Years
Specialized Knowledge: Licenses: 1st class boiler attendant
