The role is responsible for leading the regional commercial Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and supply readiness for new country launches or changes to our Gene Therapy portfolio. The role oversees supply readiness and distribution from the production sites (US & Europe) to the end-customers and ensures uninterrupted supply through effective cross-functional collaboration, inventory management, and risk mitigation.
Work Model
Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week, or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.
Responsibilities
Lead Gene Therapy regional SIOP process using Kinaxis and Oracle.
Direct launches and product lifecycle changes in global cross-functional teams (Quality, Regulatory, Global Planning, Global Packaging, Distribution, Country Representative) including project management and owning the respective change controls in our Quality Management System.
Define Country packaging configurations for new launch countries in close collaboration with Global Packaging, Regulatory, and Global Planning, and the markets.
Oversee Distribution Operations from Packaging Sites in the US and Europe direct to the hospitals, in partnership with Quality, Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance, and Global Planning. This includes the handling of deviations and respective CAPA implementation.
Manage KPIs, operational reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide back-up support for planning activities and flex support for Distribution and Shipping Operations for standard modalities.
Act as key SME during audits/inspections for the gene therapy portfolio.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences or related field.
8–12 years of progressive supply chain experience in a GxP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment; experience supporting Gene Therapy preferred.
Deep knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes in complex supply networks, including external manufacturing.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry procedures and regulations including cGMPs, cGDP and other regulatory requirements.
Experience in managing complex projects, especially product launches across multiple countries.
Sound knowledge of global distribution and trade compliance for high value products.
Effective communication & stakeholder management at different levels: verbal, written, and presentations in English language, strong preference for proficiency in German and French language.
Experience with Kinaxis, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Office tools, and SmartSheet.
Experience working within global cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across multiple regions.
Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
Ability to travel internationally (up to 10%)
