In this role, you will lead engineering activities across automation projects, supporting Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), system design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities. Working closely with project teams, customers, and global engineering resources, you will help deliver high-quality automation solutions while supporting business growth, customer success, and operational excellence.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Take ownership of the engineering activities (Ovation DCS FEED, design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and start-up) on all allocated deliverables and proactively utilize methodologies, resources and techniques for minimizing the execution cost, whilst maintaining the requisite schedule and quality standard.
  • Partner with customers and project stakeholders to understand requirements and support successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with project leadership to develop achievable project schedules, identify resource needs, and proactively manage risks.
  • Serve as a key technical contact for customers and ensure effective communication across project teams and third-party contributors.
  • Support procurement activities by contributing technical specifications and delivery requirements for products and services.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives, escalating changes and risks as appropriate.
  • Ensure engineering activities are completed in accordance with quality processes as well as health, safety, environmental, and information security requirements.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that supports team performance, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
  • Contribute technical expertise to proposal and business development activities, helping create innovative and cost-effective customer solutions.
  • Partner with suppliers, contractors, and global Emerson teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Continuously develop and share technical knowledge to strengthen engineering capabilities across the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need

  • Degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with industrial automation or control systems.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and industrial communication protocols.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to coordinate technical activities and support engineering teams in delivering project objectives.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Availability for domestic and international travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license or ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

  • Experience delivering automation projects within the power generation, energy, process, or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with Ovation™ distributed control systems or similar automation platforms.
  • Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
  • Experience leading technical teams, projects, or multidisciplinary engineering activities.
  • Proficiency in an additional European language.
  • Experience supporting customer proposals, bids, or solution development activities.
