About The Role
Description of Job Duty
The overall purpose of this job is to ensure that the Economics, Finance & Marketing departmental office functions to the benefit of students, faculty, and the chairperson. This includes assisting the department chair in day-to-day activities, responding to student concerns, assuring faculty needs are addressed, managing and coordinating events in the department, summarizing and analyzing relevant departmental data, and helping with college functions whenever needed.

Essential Functions
Summarize and analyze departmental data. Organize faculty and students' evaluations. Answer student questions regarding academic information. Supervise student workers and graduate assistants. Perform standard clerical duties. Manage and coordinate departmental events. Assist students with schedule appointments. Oversee departmental budget.

Those typical to an office environment.
Work Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Salary
Commensurate with education and experience. Level S2, Grade 6.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of related professional work experience or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with at least one year of related professional work experience. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office. Ability to effectively supervise student workers. Ability to handle confidential information.
