Manager (HKTE) Talent Support – Events 2

About The Role

Duties

(a) To plan and execute a diverse range of talent support events, including workshops, seminars and networking sessions;

(b) To cultivate partnerships with external stakeholders such as trade associations, business sectors, educational institutions and employers to enhance event collaborations;

(c) To oversee all logistical and administrative aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, event curation, budget management and hiring of services, and liaison with consultants/service contractors;

(d) To develop and implement marketing strategies to promote talent support events to a wider audience;

(e) To conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedbacks from participants and stakeholders, and to use the evaluation data to refine future event strategies;

(f) To assist in handling enquiries and requests for settlement support services from outside talents, and fostering collaboration with working partners;

(g) To handle general administration matters of the Talent Support Team, including personnel, records management, and procurement of services; and

(h) To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.

Entry Requirements

Candidates should have –

(a) a Bachelor’s degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;

(b) a minimum of 12 years’ full-time post qualifications work experience, including at least 8 years of relevant experience in mega event staging, customer service, complaint handling and feedback collection;

(c) met the language proficiency requirement of Level 3 or above in English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent;

(Note: Grade C in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 3 respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.)

(d) proven track record of hands-on collaborative experience in providing excellent customer services to stakeholders;

(e) excellent understanding of government affairs especially on engaging talents;

(f) excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); and

(g) proficiency in the application of common business software (including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as Chinese and English word processing.

Pay

HK$75,830 per month

Terms of Appointment

The successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms. The contract period will commence on the first date of reporting duty and last up to 31 March 2028. Renewal of contract will be subject to the discretion of the Government.
