About The Role

Current Product Cost Reduction Engineering Co-op- Spring 2027

Atmus Filtration Technologies provides engineering experiences for students across a wide range of engineering disciplines and STEM aligned degree programs. Co-op roles are typically project based and the student will gain a broad range of experiences and will grow as both a person and a professional. We ae looking for a student pursuing a master's in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering to support current projects in prototype builds and DVPR testing at our Cookeville, TN location. This role is 100% onsite and requires a 12-month commitment.

The Student Engineering Co-op will gain knowledge and support experienced engineering staff in the following areas

  • Product Design / Development / Validation - New Product Development, Current Product Support or Validation/Verification planning for filtration & separation systems
  • Customer Engineering - Application & Customer support, Issue Resolution
  • Test Engineering – Development of new laboratory equipment, procedures, and test methods
  • Reliability - Product Development Risk Assessment & Failure Analysis
  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering graduate degree program and in good standing, specifically Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.

Co-Op program criteria

  • Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a graduate degree. (Mechanical/Industrial)
  • Minimum 2.5 or above GPA preferred.
  • Must be able to complete a 12-months commitment, no exceptions.
  • Must be able to complete 40 hours per week and onsite 100%
  • Willingness to learn from others on the job.
