About The Role
The driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery and retrieval of downhole setting tools to and from customer locations. This role ensures full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including proper load handling and secure strapping. The driver is expected to deliver all tools in a condition ready for immediate customer use. In addition to driving duties, this position will also assist in the shop by assembling tools as needed. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and overall responsibility.
- Load and transport setting toolboxes, ensuring proper securement and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain safety standards.
- Deliver tools to customer locations, unloading and arranging them for easy access and inventory control.
- Communicate professionally with onsite personnel during deliveries, fostering positive customer relationships.
- Retrieve used tools, ensuring proper handling and transportation back to the shop for cleaning and inspection.
- Assist in tool assembly and maintenance as needed, following company procedures and quality control guidelines.
- Complete accurate QA/QC documentation for each delivery and retrieval event using the KPA iFortress app.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, both in the vehicle and the shop, to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Valid CDL or state driver's license for 1-ton pickup operation (CDL preferred).
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to lift and maneuver tools weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
- Knowledge of basic DOT regulations and safe load securement practices.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Willingness to assist in various shop duties as needed, demonstrating a flexible and collaborative mindset.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Travel to other districts to help is expected. Expected travel 5-15%
