Cleaning Supervisor

About The Role

In this role you will be responsible for implementing and developing cleaning operations at multi-site locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the provision of operational cleaning to the required specification, within a specific geographical area throughout South Yorkshire Police.
  • Supervise cleaning staff to ensure that the security requirement of each location is adhered to by the clearing work force.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new methods, attending development and training courses.
  • Provide emergency cover and transport in case of staff shortages, including cover for other Cleaning Supervisors geographical areas in their absence.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities, which do not change the character and purpose of the posts as may be required.

Skills and experience

  • Industrial Cleaning Work History.
  • Experience of working to specifications.
  • 764/1 & 764/2 qualification or equivalent and BIC’s Trained.
  • Trained in Chemical identification (COSHH) and experience of working and controlling multi-site locations.
  • Hold a full Driving Licence and experience of using computer packages such as Word and Excel.
  • Good communication both written and oral, and willing to work unsociable hours as required.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.

Field: This applies to roles that do have a base, however, due to the nature of their duties is required to travel to other locations. Due to the nature of these roles, they cannot accommodate flexible working from home on a permanent basis .
