About The Role

We are looking for an Application Support & Automation Engineer to join an international team responsible for supporting and operating critical banking applications. We are seeking a professional with experience in Application Support (L1/L2) , strong troubleshooting skills, and solid knowledge of automation, cloud technologies, and infrastructure, who can contribute to the stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of services.

Your Responsibilities

Provide application support for critical solutions within a banking environment.
Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and operational support activities.
Participate in on-call rotations and shift-based support activities.
Monitor application performance, availability, and stability.
Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities and business continuity tests.
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts for provisioning, configuration, and deployment automation.
Contribute to technology modernization initiatives, including the containerization of legacy applications.
Administer and support environments based on Docker and Kubernetes .
Support and train other team members on automation and infrastructure-related topics.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational process optimization.
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Operations, Application Support, or Software Engineering.
Experience in L1/L2 Application Support , preferably within banking or financial services environments.
Strong knowledge of Linux and command-line administration (CLI).
Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
Knowledge of PL/SQL and database troubleshooting.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools, ideally Dynatrace .
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar platforms.
Scripting experience using Python and/or Bash .
Experience working with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud .

Qualifications & Experience

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in IT Operations or Software Engineering
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with a cloud provider (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Minimum 2+ years of experience with Ansible and Docker
