About the company

Remote World is partnering with a UK-based media company to hire for this role. They run a fast-growing YouTube channel in the personal finance space with 400,000+ subscribers — producing 2–3 long-form videos per week covering investing, budgeting, and financial independence.

The role

You'll edit long-form YouTube videos (10–25 minutes) from raw talking-head footage, adding b-roll, graphics, captions, and sound design to produce polished, engaging content. You'll work closely with the presenter and creative director, and you'll have a real say in pacing and structure.

What you'll do

Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to publish-ready final cut

Source and integrate b-roll, stock footage, and screen recordings

Create on-brand lower thirds, title cards, and animated graphics

Add captions and optimise audio levels throughout

Maintain consistent editing style across all channel content

What you'll need

Portfolio of long-form YouTube or documentary-style edited videos

Proficient in Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro

• Strong sense of pacing — you know how to keep a viewer watching
• Reliable — the channel runs on a consistent publishing schedule
• Nice to have
• Experience editing personal finance, business, or educational content
• Motion graphics skills in After Effects
• Understanding of YouTube retention and thumbnail psychology
