About Wynn Al Marjan Island

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

About the Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Supervisor – Public Area to join the resort’s P ublic Area team.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are

  • Report for duty on time, maintaining proper uniform standards and name identification as required.
  • To conduct the daily briefing for colleagues in the department.
  • Attends daily briefing with HK, PA Manager ensuring a complete understanding of tasks for self and team members.
  • To champion the company values and objectives such as Colleague Engagement Survey and FORBES 5 Star Classification.
  • Supervise and coordinate all colleagues ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service and all areas of the operation are running as per Wynn Al Marjan Island’s standard procedures and policies.
  • Supervise and inspect restaurants, washrooms, marina, gaming areas, offices, outdoor, back area, pantry, staircase and lift landings as per Wynn Al Marjan Island’s standards.
  • Supervise deep cleaning and special task schedules, ensuring all public areas are cleaned as per resort standards.
  • Supervise and reports to the Assistant Manager – Public Area regarding the upkeep and damage of any furnishings, facilities, and equipment.
  • Carry out good communication with team members, ensuring performance is effectively managed.
  • Supervise that team attends to duty in proper uniform, on time and well groomed.
  • Supervise and train the usage of equipment to reduce maintenance costs.
  • Monitor and ensure housekeeping procedures are kept updated and in accordance with health and safety policies for personnel and guests.
  • Identify the low performance colleagues and provide all the necessary training to develop them.
  • Has full knowledge of resort layout of resort public area, corridors, storage space and back of house areas.
  • To report and follow-up with management for reupholster of sofa cushion.
  • Monitors and maintains the supplies in the pantries on guest floors.
  • Supervises training needs within the department and carries out on-the-job training when required.
  • Is fully trained in resort emergency procedures and first aid as per resort standards.
  • Supervise and train the new joiners.
  • Monitor and counsel low performers on an ongoing basis.
  • Communicates and reports correctly all issues, incidents or malfunctions as per resort standards.
  • It is flexible in working hours and scheduling as per resort requirements.
  • Conducting disciplinary action and coaching of colleagues when necessary.
  • I have full knowledge of attendant Task and area allocation.
  • Maintain the records of all the missing/broken equipment and inventory items in the allocated areas.
  • Supervises the daily and monthly projects in the allocated sections.
  • Supervises and guide during the usage of high-level cleaning and during the usage of acid chemicals.
  • To report all the maintenance and follow up with the technician.
  • To make sure that all the special amenities are kept in washroom during VIP guest visit for conference center or the restaurant.
  • To be aware of every standard that is required as per FORBES 5star classification guide and to ensure strict implementation of the standards in all areas.
  • Conducts training and regular inspections based on the Forbes checklists to ensure team is in line with the requirements and is always striving for perfection.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications

  • Communication – speak and understand English
  • Previous experience would be advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills & Leadership abilities
  • Strong customer focus service focus
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Office
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a large five-star hotel or integrated resort
  • Minimum 4 years of PAD experience in a large five-star hotel or integrated gaming resort
