About The Role

THE POSITION

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for performing various tasks related to the processing of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry. This role emphasizes attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness, ensuring that all items meet the hotel's high standards of quality and presentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Experience Management

Ensure the delivery of exceptional laundry services by maintaining high cleanliness standards and meticulous attention to detail.
Assist with guest laundry requests promptly and courteously to enhance overall satisfaction.

Laundry Operations

Perform daily laundry tasks, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens and garments.
Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures for different types of fabrics.

Quality Control

Inspect laundered items to ensure they meet cleanliness and presentation standards before delivery.
Report any damaged or stained items to the Laundry Supervisor for further action.

OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY

Communication and Collaboration

Collaborate with the laundry team to ensure smooth operations and effective communication regarding laundry needs.
Participate in team meetings to discuss workloads, challenges, and service improvements.

Health, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance

Adhere to health, safety, and security regulations relevant to laundry operations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Engage in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to laundry operations and equipment.
Seek feedback from supervisors to improve performance and service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality-related education is a plus).
Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
