Research Technician III

The Research Technician III provides technical support for research projects at the Biomedical Center by helping prepare biological samples and produce publication-quality microscopy images. Responsibilities include cell and tissue processing for immunohistochemistry, operating digital microscopy imaging systems, managing image and data storage, and maintaining accurate laboratory records and documentation. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to laboratory protocols, and effective organization of research data to support ongoing scientific studies and publications.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY

• Familiarity with basic computational tools such as Microsoft Excel/Word etc.
• Ability to work independently on projects related to biomedical research.
• Ability to order reagents, keep laboratory records, and prepare laboratory stocks.
• Proficiency with common laboratory equipment.
• Strong organizational skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Requires bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience
