JOB TITLE

Animal Science Meat Lab Office Assistant

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

Animal Science Department- Meat Lab

Job location: Animal Science Building
Pay rate or range: $12/hr.

JOB PURPOSE

Assist the Meat Lab with daily operations of a state-inspected meat processing plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

enter data and file records
order supplies
office organization
scanning, filing and management of records
laundry
organization of office
other duties as assigned by supervisor

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS

assist with other duties in the Meat Lab

COMPETENCIES

reliable, on time and responsible

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled student at UW.
Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

meat processing experience
student in CALSNR
