About The Role
Communications Consultant, Full Time, First Shift, Hybrid
The Consultant of Internal Communications supports the planning, development and delivery of internal communications that inform, engage and connect employees to organizational priorities, culture and initiatives. Working closely with communication leaders and stakeholders, this role develops content, coordinates communication activities and helps ensure employees receive timely, relevant and effective information.
Communication Content Development
- Draft and edit employee communications, including emails, newsletters, intranet articles, announcements and leadership messages.
- Develop content that translates complex information into clear, engaging and audience-focused communications.
Employee Communications Support
- Assist in the execution of internal communication plans and campaigns that support organizational initiatives and priorities.
- Coordinate communication activities and deliverables across multiple stakeholders and departments.
- Support employee engagement, recognition and culture-related communication efforts.
Internal Channel Management
- Publish and maintain content on internal communication platforms, including intranet sites, newsletters and collaboration tools.
- Assist in managing communication calendars and content schedules.
- Monitor communication channels to ensure content remains current, relevant and accessible.
Project Coordination
- Support communication projects by coordinating timelines, gathering information and managing deliverables.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to collect content and develop communication materials.
Track communication metrics and engagement data across channels
- Compile reports and summaries to help evaluate communication effectiveness.
- Gather employee feedback and insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement efforts through analysis of communication performance and audience needs.
- Minimum Required: B.A. or B.S. in journalism, communications, marketing or relevant field.
- Minimum Required: 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience. Preferred: 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of Microsoft office programs, excellent writing skills, familiarity with Associated Press Style, knowledge of graphic design and experience with photography. Comfortable with social media and Web communications. Enthusiasm for growth and learning.
