Job Summary

Responsible for the setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of sound and video equipment in seminar halls, boardrooms, meeting rooms, classrooms, and other designated areas. Ensure smooth audio-video operations during meetings, events, functions, and academic activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate sound and video equipment in seminar halls, boardrooms, meeting rooms, classrooms, and labs.
  • Understand end-user requirements and arrange the necessary equipment, connections, and configurations.
  • Install and connect wires, cables, microphones, speakers, projectors, and other audio-video equipment.
  • Adjust volume, controls, and sound settings according to room size and event requirements.
  • Conduct regular checks and preventive maintenance of sound and video equipment as per the schedule.
  • Maintain inventory of sound, microphone, and audio-video equipment.
  • Identify equipment issues and coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Mobilize and demobilize equipment for events, functions, meetings, and other activities.
  • Record speeches, videos, and events as required.
  • Monitor sound and video feeds to ensure quality and uninterrupted operations.
  • Operate and adjust audio-video equipment during functions and events to maintain required sound and video quality.
  • Convert audio and video recordings into digital formats for editing and archival purposes.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and safety of all audio-video equipment.
  • Candidates should have relevant technical knowledge and hands-on experience in operating sound and audio-video equipment.

Educational Qualifications

  • Diploma / ITI from a recognized institution.
  • Certificate course from any Audio-Visual Technology institute

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3 year of relevant experience in sound operation, audio-video equipment handling, or a similar role.

Skills and Competencies

  • Hands-on knowledge of sound and audio-video equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of microphones, speakers, mixers, amplifiers, projectors, and related equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic audio-video and connectivity issues.
  • Good understanding of sound levels, audio quality, and equipment connections.
  • Ability to coordinate with users, vendors, and service providers.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work during events, functions, and extended hours as required.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle equipment responsibly.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Adaptability to new audio technologies and tools
