About The Role

Works collaboratively with physicians to provide comprehensive specialty care across the continuum of care. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, performing rounds, presenting patients, and managing care in the CPACU, step-down, and telemetry units. The APP will collaborate closely with ICU and multidisciplinary care teams, complete H&Ps, consultations, and discharge planning, and provide care for both pre- and post-procedural patients. Additional duties include diagnosing and treating medical conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and delivering patient and family education.

Responsibilities

Conduct patient consultations, health histories, and physical examinations.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, including prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests.
Round on patients and present cases to physicians and the care team.
Manage patients in the CPACU, step-down, and telemetry units.
Perform H&Ps, consultations, and discharge evaluations.
Provide care for both pre- and post-procedural patients.
Collaborate with physicians, ICU staff, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and ongoing care needs.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the applicable state.

Preferred

Prior experience in cardiology, cardiac surgery, or a related cardiac specialty strongly preferred.
Previous Advanced Practice Provider (APP) experience preferred.
