ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a forward-thinking QA Specialist to lead a foundational shift in our quality assurance strategy. This is a "clean whiteboard" opportunity to help us restart our automation process from scratch, moving away from legacy tools toward a modern, high-performance framework. The ideal candidate is not just a scripter but a strategic thinker who can leverage AI tools to accelerate testing while ensuring all cases are feasible and accurate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Automation Framework Rebuild: Lead the transition from legacy systems (TestSigma) to a modern Playwright framework.
• AI-Driven Testing: Proactively use AI prompts and tools to generate test scenarios and scripts, focusing on reviewing and refining AI output rather than manual coding.
• End-to-End Testing: Design and execute functional, integration, and regression tests for web and mobile platforms.
• API Validation: Conduct thorough API testing to check connections, logs, and results.
• Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with Tech Leads to decide which features require automation versus manual testing based on project priority and budget.
• Defect Management: Perform risk-based analysis on bugs and provide comprehensive "Exit Reports" before production deployments.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven track record in both manual and automation testing within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Architectural Knowledge: Ability to structure test frameworks for large projects by separating scenarios, test data, and Page Object Models (POM).
• Analytical Mindset: Expert at identifying and reducing "flaky" tests through smart assertion strategies.
• Adaptability: Comfortable being the sole QA within a scrum team during a department-wide restructuring phase.

Technical Toolbelt

• Playwright: Expert proficiency is required as this will be the primary framework for the automation restart.
• C# or Python: Strong scripting skills in C# (preferred) or Python to build and maintain the test suite.
• Postman: Essential for backend and API validation.
• AI Tools: Deep experience using AI to generate, debug, and optimize automation scripts.
• Azure & Cosmos DB: Prior experience with these cloud and database environments is highly desirable.
• SOAP UI: Familiarity with testing legacy or specific backend services.
• Jira & Confluence: Standard tools for project tracking and documentation.
