We are now looking for a Marine HR Specialist to join our team in Lysaker. In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring our vessels are manned with qualified and competent seafarers while delivering a positive employee experience throughout the seafarer lifecycle.
What you'll be doing
As a Marine HR Specialist, you will work closely with vessel management teams, manning agents, and seafarers to ensure smooth crewing operations across your assigned fleet. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and coordinating crew changes and vessel manning activities
- Ensuring vessels are staffed with qualified, certified, and medically fit personnel
- Maintaining compliance with flag state, customer, and company requirements
- Managing and updating crew data and documentation within our systems
- Monitoring crew budgets and supporting cost control activities
- Following up on seafarer feedback and contributing to initiatives that improve crew welfare and engagement
- Supporting internal and external audits as required
- Building strong relationships with manning agents and ensuring delivery in line with company and customer expectations
- Participating in vessel visits when required
- Contributing to process improvements, operational excellence, and Marine HR projects
- Supporting the development and follow-up of Marine HR key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Promoting high levels of seafarer satisfaction and engagement across the fleet
- Who we're looking for
- We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic operational environment and is passionate about people, service, and the maritime industry.
You will ideally bring
- A proactive, customer-focused, and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to make sound decisions and prioritize effectively
- A minimum of three years' experience within maritime operations, crewing, or HR
- Alternatively, seagoing experience with at least two years sailing as a junior officer
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- A structured approach and strong attention to detail
