The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Director of Product to lead their Product and Design organizations during a critical phase of product development.

This role is focused on driving progress toward product-market fit while strengthening product execution and team leadership.

The Director of Product will operate as a player-coach — leading a small team of Product Managers and Designers while remaining deeply involved in discovery, prioritization, and product strategy.

This leader will work closely with Engineering, Marketing, and Customer teams to ensure that product decisions are grounded in customer insight and business impact.

The role reports directly to the VP of Product & Marketing and will have meaningful influence over product direction and roadmap priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Lead product strategy with a strong focus on achieving and scaling product-market fit
  • Establish structured discovery processes and feedback loops with customers
  • Translate customer insights and market signals into clear product priorities
  • Own roadmap planning and prioritization in partnership with leadership and engineering
  • Identify new product opportunities and innovation areas, including AI-driven capabilities
  • Ensure the product roadmap aligns with company goals, customer needs, and market opportunities

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers and Product Designers
  • Build a high-performing product organization focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Coach product managers on discovery, experimentation, and decision-making
  • Strengthen collaboration between Product, Design, and Engineering teams
  • Foster a strong customer-centric mindset across the product organization

Product Development

  • Oversee the product development lifecycle from discovery and ideation through launch and iteration
  • Partner closely with Engineering leadership to ensure strong alignment between product strategy and technical execution
  • Improve internal product processes, prioritization frameworks, and delivery cadence
  • Champion iterative product development and rapid learning cycles

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with leaders across Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success
  • Align product initiatives with go-to-market strategy and customer adoption
  • Communicate product priorities, trade-offs, and outcomes clearly across the organization
  • Support product positioning and launch readiness in collaboration with marketing and customer teams

Performance & Measurement

  • Define and track product performance metrics and KPIs
  • Evaluate product usage, customer engagement, and adoption trends
  • Use data to guide product decisions and identify opportunities for improvement

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally in startup or scale-up environments
  • Proven experience building and scaling B2B SaaS products
  • Experience working in product-market fit stage environments
  • 5+ years of experience leading product or cross-functional teams
  • Strong experience across the full product lifecycle: discovery, development, launch, and iteration
  • Ability to translate complex problems into clear product strategy and execution plans
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering and design teams
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments
  • Prior experience in travel, meetings, or event technology is a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
