Specialist Paediatrician vacancy in Oman

About The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Specialist Pediatrician to join a leading healthcare facility in Oman. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric conditions, promote preventive healthcare, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses in infants, children, and adolescents.
- Conduct routine pediatric examinations, developmental assessments, and health screenings.
- Monitor children's physical, emotional, and developmental growth.
- Administer and recommend immunizations according to national and international vaccination guidelines.
- Manage common pediatric conditions, including respiratory, gastrointestinal, infectious, endocrine, and allergic disorders.
- Provide emergency pediatric care and stabilize critically ill children when required.
- Educate and counsel parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, growth, development, preventive care, and disease management.
- Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME).
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and Oman Ministry of Health regulations.
- Participate in on-call duties and emergency coverage as required.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- MD, DNB, Arab Board, MRCPCH, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics.
- Eligibility for or possession of a valid Oman Ministry of Health (MoH) license .
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience as a Specialist Pediatrician in a recognized hospital or medical center.
- Certification in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) is preferred.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
