About a role

Proper and transparent implementation of payroll and administration tasks. Ensuring accurate monthly payroll and travel expense accounting. Audit-compliant maintenance of payroll records.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all personnel-related tasks, including the preparation and execution of ongoing payroll accounting for an assigned group of employees.
  • Enter and maintain payroll-relevant data in SAP using manual entries, batch processing, and interface procedures.
  • Review payroll results based on payroll run logs, individual payroll results, and accounting outputs.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of legal and operational payroll regulations.
  • Implement and document changes to operational rules, particularly in time management.
  • Advise employees and managers on payroll-related matters, legal regulations, social security, taxation, and employment law.
  • Process specialized personnel topics such as garnishments, DEÜV notifications, certifications, age-related matters, travel expenses, and similar topics.
  • Prepare statistics, reports, and evaluations.
  • Participate in projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Perform special and ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing in compliance with internal policies and operational regulations.
  • Maintain audit-proof records and ensure correct archiving of personnel and payroll documents.
  • Train decentralized time data administrators and logbook keepers in accordance with operational regulations and time management documentation.
  • Provide ongoing support related to time data and payroll processes.
  • Maintain personnel master data, time data, vacation quotas, and absences.
  • Process payroll runs, corrections, transfers, and terminations.
  • Handle incorrect billing cases and reconcile payroll accounts.
  • Implement personnel measures, tariff increases, and statutory reporting obligations in SAP.
  • Process requests from authorities and respond to internal and external inquiries.
  • Collaborate on special payroll and HR-related tasks and temporary project teams.

Requirements

  • University or technical college degree, completed commercial training, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proven professional experience in payroll accounting, HR administration, or personnel services.
  • Payroll certification (e.g. ALGA) is an advantage.
  • Practical experience with SAP payroll and HR modules is required.
  • Very good command of SAP and PC-based office applications.
  • Solid knowledge of:
  • Payroll and archive regulations
  • Collective agreements (MTV) and tariff regulations
  • Income tax tables and social security contribution tables
  • Personnel files, forms, receipts, statistics, and SAP documentation
  • Fluent in German and English (C1 level)
