About The Role

Responsibilities

Pre Contract

  • Preparation of quotation
  • Ensure selections of contractor for Tender Approval Form (TAF) are suitable with the related scope of works
  • Prepare letter ‘Request for Quotation/Invitation to Quote’ and other documents (e.g. Bill of Quantities, Specifications, Terms and Condition, drawings, and Extension of Closing Date (if any)
  • Ensure on contractor’s acknowledgement of the tender
  • Ensure tender closing to be opened immediately
  • Preparation of Price Comparison.
  • Conduct Negotiation meeting with Contractor
  • Prepare and finalized Management paper (MP)
  • Prepare Letter of Award or Sub-Contract Agreement as per recommended by Head of Contract and request for approval as per DAL.

Pos Contract

  • Responsible in preparing the process of obtaining insurances, performance bond and CIDB levy for work order awarded by clients
  • Prepare request for ICP and progress claims upon receiving Joint Measurement Sheets
  • Submission to Client on Variation Order ( if any ) and process VO to Sub-Contractor
  • Follow up ICP with clients
  • Finalization of work order and project accounts with Contractors and clients
  • Updating status of work order and project including claims and payment
  • Check and verify purchase requisition form receives from PMs
  • Advice PMs/supervisor on contractual matters

Other Duties

  • Follow up with clients for long outstanding claims
  • Ensure compliance to DAL and Policy and Procedures in all work undertaken
  • Undertake any other related duties, task and responsibilities as assigned, instructed and directed by supervisor

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Membership in a professional body (e.g., RISM, CIQS) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quantity surveying, particularly in infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in both pre-contract and post-contract activities, such as tender preparation, contractor negotiation, and progress claims.
