Quality Control Supervisor

About The Role
At a Glance
Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Supervisor to join the Data Center, Power and Control Team in Anaheim, CA. This role is responsible for overseeing daily quality control operations, supervising inspection teams, and enforcing compliance according to company and industry standards.
What Will You Do?
- Lead the quality control team on the production floor to drive adherence to quality guidelines, resolve non-conformance issues, and coach team members to maintain consistent inspection standards
- Assign daily tasks and oversee testing of in-process and finished products to verify compliance with customer specifications
- Ensure testing equipment is functioning and perform internal audits to ensure alignment with ISO 9001
- Investigate customer complaints and root causes and lead corrective and preventive action plans
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve issues and make recommendations to improve design and processes
- Make staffing recommendations for the inspection team related to staffing levels and performance based on business needs
- Support cross-training efforts involving quality and continuous improvement activities
- Drive a culture of waste elimination through lean principles and tools
- Oversee the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process and ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner
- Recommend new and efficient quality tools to ensure the highest level of quality for incoming material, processed material, and finished products
- Train new team members on quality policies and expectations
- Stay abreast of current customer expectations and the latest quality technology
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- High School diploma is required
Experience
- A minimum of 4 years of quality control experience in manufacturing is required
- A minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience is required
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must have strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Knowledge of test and reliability practices is required
- Thorough understanding of applicable ISO 9001 requirements is required
- Knowledge of advanced quality tools, such as Six Sigma/Green-Black Belt and lean principles, is required
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills are required
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities
- Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize, and accomplish a diversified workload
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Ability to hear, speak, kneel, bend, and use a step ladder or stool is required
- Ability to lift 40 pounds is required
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment is required
