About The Role

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the team in Reno, NV . What Will You Do? Role: Supervises the daily activities of a production area to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved.

Main Job Duties

  • Mentor and coach team members while maintaining high standards of conduct and leadership.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained, cross-trained, and equipped to succeed in their roles.
  • Collaborate with Line Leads and other supervisors to ensure production lines and processes run efficiently and in alignment with the Legrand Way.
  • Direct daily work schedules, monitor staffing levels, and adjust resources as needed.

Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other departments, including Quality and Engineering, to resolve issues and support training.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, 5S practices, and company policies.
  • Monitor production output and ensure adherence to budgetary requirements, including scrap and tooling usage.
  • Evaluate performance, deliver feedback, administer performance appraisals, and make recommendations for merit increases or disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of employees within the department.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting and documentation of production activities.
  • Participate in overtime rotation, provide coverage for other shifts as required, and support multiple departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required a plus.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
  • Previous experience as a Production Coordinator, Team Lead, or similar role strongly preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, travelers, and electrical diagrams
