Aero Constructors LLC is hiring a full-time Tower Technician to join our field team. We perform tower construction, maintenance, lighting, antenna, and RF line work for wireless carriers, utility companies, broadcasters, and government/public safety customers throughout Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming.
We have shop locations in Ault, CO and Grand Island, NE , but this is primarily a field-based position. Technicians typically dispatch directly from home to job sites using company-provided vehicles, with occasional shop reporting or material pickup as needed.
Job Overview
The Tower Technician will assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade of communication towers and related equipment. This includes tower lighting systems, antennas, RF transmission lines, mounting hardware, grounding, cabling, and other telecom infrastructure.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding field position. The right candidate must be dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-minded, and comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
This role may be a strong fit for candidates with backgrounds in
- Climbing, including rock climbing or other height-related activities
- Farming, ranching, or hands-on outdoor work
- Construction, mechanical trades, electrical work, or equipment operation
- Military, utility, telecom, or field-service work
Prior tower experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Travel Requirements
- Primarily day travel within assigned territory
- Occasional overnight travel depending on job location
- Overnight travel may range from 2–5 nights per week during certain projects
- $35/day per diem for overnight stays
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $22.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Estimated Annual Earnings: Approximately $70,000–$130,000 with overtime, depending on hourly rate, workload, and travel schedule
- Hours: Typically 40–60 hours per week
- Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
- Work Setting: Field-based, outdoors, construction sites, tower sites, and elevated work environments
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Basic computer and smartphone skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Physically and mentally able to climb and work at heights over 150 feet
- Willing to follow all company and OSHA safety requirements
- Must provide basic hand tools and appropriate outdoor work gear

Work Location
