About The Role

Day-to-day responsibilities of this position: Perform engineering review of Applications for Permit to Drill (APD's) Review and approve Well Completion Reports, Workover Tax Credits, plugging and abandonment procedures Review and approve UIC Permits (Class II) and Carbon Sequestration Permits (Class VI) Determine program goals and objectives and/or chair committees established to support the program. Provide consultations, make recommendations, give appropriate advice, and/or facilitate decisions to the Board of Oil, Gas, and Mining, oil and gas operators in Utah, other stakeholders, other Division employees and the public. Act as an expert witness. Give testimony and/or recommendations in court cases and/or hearings. Respond to public inquiries regarding our rules, regulations and policies. Work Closely with Division field personnel concerning well operations and problems. Investigate complaints and follow up with written findings and appropriate recommendations.
