Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Backbone Core (BCO) (all genders)

What You’ll Do

• Own the QA Strategy: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies and automation frameworks for complex features spanning multiple internal systems and core integrations
• Risk & Edge-Case Analysis: Analyze product requirements and technical specs to uncover hidden edge cases, deep business logic scenarios, and potential system bottlenecks before code is written
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a strategic bridge between Product Management and Engineering, ensuring testing aligns perfectly with client expectations and internal business processes
• Data Integrity & Reliability: Lead testing strategies (including regression and contract testing) to safeguard the reliability of high-volume data ingestion, transformation, and distribution pipelines
• Drive Quality Culture: Mentor other team members on QA best practices and continuously improve our testing methodologies and CI/CD pipeline integration

What You Bring

• Deep Backend Expertise: 6+ years of experience in QA and test automation, with a heavy focus on debugging and validating complex REST backend applications
• Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of HTTP protocols, contract testing, schema validation (OpenAPI/Swagger), and ensuring backward compatibility
• Asynchronous Architecture Savvy: Proven experience designing test approaches for background jobs, asynchronous workflows, and high-throughput data sync pipelines
• Automation First Mindset: Proficiency with API testing tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Postman, Newman, or language-specific frameworks like Python/Java/Node.js) and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Senior Leadership: Excellent communication skills in fluent English, a proactive mindset for shift-left testing, and a track record of driving agile quality processes
