About The Role
J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Health team to work in our Occupational work/ clinic environment. Our Irving Health Services clinic is located at our head office in Saint John, New Brunswick and is open Monday – Friday.
The role is a minimum of 3 days per week with an opportunity for 4 days a week.
You will be part of a team of health care providers working with health, safety and wellness team members.
The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting employee health, safety, and wellness across our operations. This position provides clinical care, health education, and support for workplace health initiatives while working collaboratively with employees and leaders .
- Provide nursing services to employees in accordance with professional nursing standards and company policies.
- Conduct health assessments, screenings, and wellness initiatives.
- Maintain confidential employee health records and ensure compliance with privacy legislation.
- Support workplace health promotion, injury prevention, and health education programs.
- Assist with emergency response planning and provide first aid support as required.
- Coordinate employee referrals to community healthcare resources and specialists when appropriate.
- Participate in occupational health and safety committees and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor of Nursing (BN) degree; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience; occupational health, emergency, or community health experience is considered an asset.
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of New Brunswick or eligibility for registration.
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) is an asset.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong clinical assessment skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
